Prescriptions

Our prescription services are operating as usual, whether you get your medications from the surgery or the pharmacy. However we are still very busy handling prescription requests. We urge you not to stockpile medications. The Royal Pharmaceutical Society has declared that due to no-deal Brexit planning there are ample stocks of medications in the UK, and the coronavirus emergency will not affect supplies.

ONLY ORDER THE MEDICATIONS YOU NEED.

Processing time

Due to the unprecedented demand for medications it is difficult in many cases to get prescriptions ready within the usual 48 hour period. There may be a delay in processing some requests, particularly routine medications.

Repeat prescriptions

Many patients are understandably concerned about coming to the surgery with repeat slips etc. We have therefore moved the repeat slips box to the lobby outside the main waiting room. If you collect your repeat from a pharmacy you can nominate them to request repeats on your behalf – speak to them about this. If you have lost your repeat slip please do not call the surgery – we will not routinely accept repeat requests over the phone. Write your request on paper and post it into the repeat box. During this emergency we have decided to accept prescription requests via the website. Click here to access our repeat prescription form.

My Health Online

Patients already registered with My Health Online are encouraged to use this service to order repeat prescriptions. Unfortunately we cannot set new patients up currently, as this involves coming into the surgery.

Hand washing

It is essential that you frequently wash your hands. Do so for 20 second with soap.

Coughing

Cough into a tissue, bin it, then wash your hands
